MedMal Direct Temporarily Suspends Cancellations Due to Hurricane Irma

Due to the lasting impact from Hurricane Irma and a state of emergency order in Florida, MedMal Direct will continue its suspension of cancellations for non-payment of premium, through October 15, 2017. All notices of cancellation issued or mailed on or after August 25, 2017 through and including September 3, 2017 will be withdrawn and reissued after October 15, 2017.
Accounts that went into a cancellation or intent to cancel status on or after August 25, 2017 will not incur a late or cancellation fee. The account will be placed into a status of “current” until October 15, 2017. This means any and all Florida accounts with past due premium will be deferred to a due date of October 16th.
MedMal Direct will exercise some leniency in all of Georgia and the approximately 55 counties in Texas affected by the storm, on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to our customer experience team if you have any questions or concerns about your policy.
